The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario invites Catholic School Council parent leaders to apply for a vacant position on the CDSBEO Parent Involvement Committee representing Dundas and Stormont Counties.
Catholic School Council parent leaders are asked to serve a two-year term, and must be available to attend four meetings per year, in addition to other leadership responsibilities.
Catholic schools have been part of Ontario communities for over 170 years and play a vital role in the province by producing graduates who are collaborative contributors to the common good of society.
The Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) provides the provincial voice for elected Catholic school trustees to promote and protect publicly funded Catholic education. The OCSTA has launched a new campaign, called Together in Faith, to strengthen support for Catholic education in Ontario.
Parents are invited to sign up and join in strengthening our community of support for Catholic education in Ontario by visiting www.togetherinfaith.ca. When you sign up, you will be provided with ongoing information about our Catholic system and will be counted among the many Ontarians who want to protect our incredible Catholic schools.
Thank you for continuing to choose Catholic education. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
Health Eating and Treats
Families, the staff is once again asking for your support with refraining from bringing cupcakes,
treats etc. to school for your child’s birthday. Although a wonderful gesture on your part, it is important
that we remember that we are committed to the teaching and learning of your children.
The staff feel that the events of Halloween, Christmas and Valentines is an acceptable time for a
special treat and should suffice with regards to celebrations.
We also have students with Life Threatening Allergies of various types and therefore, we are
requesting that, other than these 3 events for this year that the celebrations of your children’s
birthdays be at home. The suggestion of purchasing a book for our school library in your
child’s name, a pencil for each student, etc. replace bringing in baked or purchased treats.
We thank you in advance for your support with this request.
